Founded in 1994, VICO Company Limited whose precusor was "Sea Star Co., Ltd" has successfully grown to become one of leading enterprises in manufacturing and trading powder detergent, homecare and bodycare products, Cosmestic as well as import and export chemicals.

VICO is the owner of long – standing famous trademarks which accounts high market share in Vietnam such as: VF Detergent Powder, Vi Dan Detergent Powder, VICO Detergent Liquid, VICO Dishwashing Liquid…

In the domestic market, VICO's market share is about 12%, VICO's products cover 63 provinces nationwide. We always try our best to reach our target: "By 2020, VICO's products will account for 20% market share and earn VND 5,000 billion, sales system grows with 2,000 sales staffs, 150 distributors. "

Domestic Market

VICO has nationwide distribution network with 120 distributors, 1.000 salesmen and 100 supervisors and group managers.

VICO focuses on developing the domestic market, occupying form 20 to 25% market share.

Contract Manufactures

VICO is contract manufacturer for 3 main customer: Procter and Gample (P&G); Metro Cash and Carry VietNam, Toyota Tsusho and Kao…

Export

VICO exports to some countries such as: Japan, Australia, Mongola, Cambodia, Taiwan, North Korea, Cuba and Africa, Middle East and Africa…

In the future, VICO will expand to new markets Thailand and China.

DEVELOPMENT

At the start, 20% of the compant’s legal capital was owned by the Vietnamese State. In 2004, in order to become more active in market oriented economy, the leadership decided to purchase all the state owned capital. Currently, most of shareholders are compant’s leader and staff.

Turnover of 2010: VND 965 billion

Turnover of 2012: VND 1200 billion

Turnover of 2014: VND 1450 billion

Turnover of 2016: VND 2000 billion

TARGET TO 2020

Domestic Market

Domestic market is VICO’s target market, currently accounts for 12%  market share and annual turnover of VND 700 billion.

VICO has nationwide distribution network with:

  • 90 distributors.
  • 300 salemens.
  • 90 supervisors and group managers.

Target to 2020: accounts for 20 – 25% domestic market share, develops sales network with 120 distributors, 1.000 salemens, 120 supervisors and group managers.

Export

  • Current: VICO exports to some countries such as: Japan, Australia, Mongola, Cambodia, Taiwan, North Korea, Cuba and Africa, Middle East and Africa…
  • Target: Maintain current export markets and expands to new markets especially 4 provinces in the Southern China, Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, India.

Contract Manufacturer

VICO is contract manufacturer for 3 main customers:

  • Procter and Gample (P&G) to supply detergent powder for local market and Southest Asia Countries.
  • Metro Cash and Carry Vietnam: for some products distributed in Metro in VietNam.
  • Toyota Tsusho and Kao: for product exported to Japan and in Vietnam.
